Command Sergeant Major Castillo is the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, United States Transportation Command.  He is the principal advisor to the JECC Commander and senior staff on all matters concerning joint force integration, readiness, professional development and effective utilization of the enlisted corps.

CSM Castillo is a native of Los Angeles, California. He enlisted in the United States Army on the 21st of May 1998.

His assignments include Radio Contingency Team member, Radio Contingency Team leader, and Liaison Net Operator Section Sergeant, A Company, 50th Signal Battalion (CORPS) (Force Entry) (Airborne); Transmission Section Sergeant, C Company, 304Th Signal Battalion; Small Extension Node Team Leader, A Company, 51st Signal Battalion (Airborne); Special Operations Communications Team Leader, Executive Communicator for the Joint Special Operations Command Deputy Commanding General, Network Control Section Sergeant, Future Operations Planner, and J37 NCOIC, Joint Communications Unit;  Executive Communications Detachment Chief United States Special Operations Command; Theater Signal Support Company Sergeant Major, 112th Signal Battalion (Special Operations) (Airborne); Command Sergeant Major 50th Expeditionary Signal Battalion (Enhanced); Command Sergeant Major, 35th Corps Signal Brigade .

He has deployed seven times supporting Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and NEW DAWN as well as other contingency operations.

His military education includes all levels of Army Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System as well as Joint Special Operations Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 30), Brigade and Battalion Pre-Command Course, Basic Airborne Course, Static Line Jumpmaster Course, Military Free Fall Course, Special Operations Radio Operators Course, and Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape Course. He holds a B.S. Degree in Computer Information Science from University of Maryland Global Campus.  

CSM Castillo’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal (three awards), Army Commendation Medal (three awards), Army Achievement Medal (two awards), and various service and campaign awards.
